Mom of 3 yr old
10 day Volcano, Cloud, Forest, Samara Beach with eco-Upgrade lodges

We had a fantastic trip! You do an amazing job with planning and information. I plan complex projects for a living so I’m pretty meticulous about vacation planning, and this whole experience was awesome. I can see why your family loves Costa Rica so much!

Aro Isis in Monteverde – apparently this time of year is “scorpion party season” as the hotel manager told me when we checked out. We found 3 in our room. A huge one on the curtain and then a couple ant sized ones in the towels. We just made sure to check things before using them (beds, towels, shoes, etc.)

Samara Food: We did not have a bad meal in Samara as we asked Melissa and then massage therapist their favorites.
Luv Burger – Vegan burger joint, I was not expecting to like my meal but it was REALLY good.
Coco’s Mexican Restaurant – My husband loves spicy food, so even though he liked the Costa Rican food, this made his day
Soda La Perla – little bit of a hike down the beach and then one dirt road over, but excellent – cheap Tico food
Roots Bakery – This was around the corder from the Condo and we had coffee and pastries here every day. They are known for their homemade cinnamon rolls which were very good as was everything else we tried.
Ma Ma Gui – best pizza I’ve ever had in my life and I live in a city which has a HUGE Italian immigrant population

While here in Samara – Derek and I took turns getting massages on the beach with Danni Mares Body ~ Mind ~ Soul. It was awesome! We took turns so one of us played with our son on the beach while the other got a massage. I highly recommend her.

Jose was amazing as well! We definitely would not gotten as much out of this trip without him.
