Mom of 12, 10 and 7 yr olds
9 day Volcano, Cloud Forest, Samara Beach Itinerary with Tico & Plus lodging

The trip was great! Leo was awesome.
In la Fortuna we ended up doing the hot springs at Los Lagos per Leo‘s suggestion which was really nice and way cheaper than Baldi or Tabacon. I think it was less crowded because there were not as many international groups I suspect. We got in for $15 per person and stayed a few hours. It rained some but no big deal. We ate at the bar/restaurant. The slides and variation in pools were nice.
We did the 1968 trail hike with Leo at Arenal, some pick up games of soccer (we eventually learned he is a former pro- player for la Liga in Alajuela).and la Catarata hike and swim with fresh coconuts.
In Montverde, tree house cafe, el Trapiche (awesome) and night hike (also good).
Selvatura the next day was a big hit and we did zip line and the Hummingbirds. Leo helped us get in ahead of a really big group. 🙂
We saw some howlers on the way to Sámara. Leo was great at spotting the animals, birds and plants all along the way through the trip.
We said goodbye to him and enjoyed the beach taking in the surf school for all but me. It was great. All the lodging was great and very accommodating.
