It was a fabulous trip and I will say that it was absolutely flawless. Everything was very smooth and easy and Jose was incredible. We saw so many unique things and the different sections of the trip actually felt a bit like separate trips completely.

Highlights for me were a coffee/chocolate tour in La Fortuna and I LOVED Hotel Silencio and the hot springs and volcano right there. We also got to see a sea turtle rescue up close from our snorkeling boat one day in Drake Bay. They had to cut it out of a fishing net in the middle of the ocean and we brought it back to safety in a cove closer to shore. Scuba was amazing and the logistics of it were perfect and so easy to pay right through the lodge [Drake Bay Wilderness Lodge]. Drake Bay was extremely professional and assisted with every little organizational detail. I cannot recommend that place enough.

All of our accommodations were great and the Drake Bay Wilderness Lodge was very accommodating and I do believe the chef you were telling me about was still there – we loved him (Henri) AND his food. What a great place! The tours everywhere were great, and I’m happy to share what we did if you are interested. Every time it felt like things were slowing down, something new and exciting/incredible would happen and I can’t even believe all the awesome things we saw and did.

I recommend suggesting longer stays at the place in Uvita [La Cusinga] as well as the final fancy place the last day [Alma del Pacifico at Esterillos Este beach]- both great places, and we feel like we could have enjoyed another full day at each and especially the place in Uvita – we LOVED it and there was a lot to do … and THOSE VIEWS. The food there was amazing too. You were spot on with the recommendations for cash/card amounts and combinations. Again, everything was so smooth.

I can’t say enough good things about Jose. He was professional, fun, and so helpful every step of the way. We all loved him and he really connected with the kids. He let us do our thing and have our vacation and was there with us to help us enjoy it in every possible way. He is so skilled at his job and we are going to recommend Global Family and Jose to many people moving forward (we already have). We saw so much wildlife it blew my mind and every lodge we stayed at was incredible and the food was out of this world everywhere.
