We had such a great time!

Your services are top notch. I don’t have any complaints or things you should do differently.

The biggest challenge for us was finding a place large enough for 6, that didn’t require 2 rooms. I really enjoyed Chachagua. The grounds were beautiful and the staff was very friendly and helpful. We were a bit of a walk from the main lodge area, which was fine with us as we like to walk. The only downside is that the food was very Americanized and expensive. So I do think it would be helpful to have a rental car the entire time while there.

I had planned 4 nighs in the Arenal region at Chachagua and then 4 nights by the beach. I thoroughly enjoyed the time with the guides near Arenal, and I would do that again vs the beach. They made the trip! We would not have been able to do what we did or see what we did without them. Even though it rained almost every day, we still had a great time. Walter and his son took us hiking and ziplining (we were the only ones there with 5 guides!) and went to local natural hot springs. Walter even took us to his home and we had a “cooking class”. That was probably the highlight of our trip. The tourist stuff we could have found, but being immersed in the local culture was an unforgettable experience. Walter said you may be jealous that we got to do that 🙂

We have so many pictures and videos as they would take our phones and be “paparazzi”. It was so wonderful.

We then spent 4 days on the beach, which was still beautiful but less cultural. The resort was beautiful, but it could have been on any beach. We love exploring and seeing local people, which we didn’t get as much on the beach.

Thank you again for our guides; we would not have had the same experience without them.
