What a TRIP!!!! Oh my gosh – I don’t honestly think it could have been much better!!!! We had such a fantastic time, amazing weather, fabulous stays, food, experiences – Lauren is soooo excited to go back again!!

Where to start – this was my 4th trip to CR, but the first without students and the first for my daughter! She was entranced. The Hotel Aeropuerto was fabulous. The hotel was very nice. Beds were so comfortable my daughter wanted to take one home. 🙂

We had an amazing time on our trip!
Dauren was absolutely fantastic with sharing his knowledge of all wildlife, plants, and history of Costa Rica as well as taking care of all logistics for our activities. He was super flexible and wonderful with our two girls as well. Extremely patient and caring.

Some thoughts on our 8 days in Costa Rica…

Luis was amazing. He was a careful driver and managed well with our motion-sickness prone family. His van had wi-fi (which saved our 13-year old from social isolation), nice A/C, and plenty of room to relax and enjoy the view. He was an encyclopedia of knowledge about everything to do with Costa Rica–the wildlife, food, culture, history–and he conveyed the information in a way that was easy to understand and remember. We had a really nice trip! We loved the Volcano Observatory Lodge and Villas Kalimba and the first night at the airport hilton garden inn was perfect after a long flight – the breakfast was awesome and the pool was really nice for the kids before we hit the van for the long drive up to Arenal.

Luis was amazing!!! He was really personable and a safe driver – without him, we would not have seen half the wildlife we did at the Ecocentro Danus and the Hanging Bridges walk! I loved that he brought the scope and let

Thank you for planning such a wonderful vacation. Luis and Gil were great and attentive guides and Silvia [babysitter] was simply amazing. She was basically part of the family by the end of the trip and Tommy still talks about her. We cannot say enough positive things about her and her presence made this trip so much better for all three of us.

A couple of things about our stay:

Arenal – we loved our hotel and although we tried out a place to eat in La Fortuna, the food was reasonable at El Silencio. We did the hanging bridges

We’re back, and thankful to you for organizing a wonderful trip. We all loved Santa Elena and Hotel Belmar, a true gem. Without doubt the ziplining in Selvatura was the highlight, our 5-year old grand daughter absolutely loved it, as did the adults. She also was delighted with the Herpetarium, looking for the frogs and snakes both during the day and in the evening (the little, and no so little, critters are incredibly well camouflaged, but Emme did an amazing job of finding them). We had an amazing trip, and thanks to you for helping me plan it. And we loved both Gil and Leo, they were so sweet!! We miss Gil :-(. He was so much fun for the kids, a great conversationalist, and such a warm heart. He went out of his way to get us where we needed to go always!

We had a great time in Costa Rica! Jose was wonderful…we couldn’t ask for a better guide! We would totally recommend him and your tour to anyone. We loved every stop. We really enjoyed Alex and his place [Andrea Cristina B&B] in Sarapiqui. The kids really got a kick out of him. We have no complaints and would love to go on another tour some time.

Thank you very much for all your help with the planning. It really made the whole thing so manageable to do with a 3 year old and made our visit to Costa Rica, which was on our list of places to go, possible.
