“We had an absolutely wonderful time. Luis was a fantastic guide- he was patient with our 6 and 4yo kids, and we all learned so much from him.

The home visit in Sarapiqui was really great [booked through Selva Verde lodge]. We visited a family with a 7yo child- our kids didn’t want to leave after a nearly 2hr visit! We saw their animals and crops- so in this case, it was more of a home visit (which was what we wanted) than a farm visit. I would highly recommend it- especially if you can specify visiting

• LOVED Arco Iris. We had our own cabin. White faced monkeys were in the tree outside the building that breakfast was in.

“We had a completely wonderful trip!! Kevin is not only a phenomenal guide, but he is also a great guy.

He was terrific with the kids at all times, courteous, energetic, and knowledgable. It is obvious that he has a genuine love for his country and his work. Thank You! Jose Pablo [guide] was just fantastic! He’s like an extended family member now! We used him for airport transportation also as did my parents…..he was so reliable and knowledgeable.

We saw so much wildlife that we never could have without Jose….he has a spotting scope which was awesome. The sun shone for us in Arenal so the views were spectacular….a definite highlight was the school visit in Sarapiqui…my girls had a ball meeting the kids and played with them for over an hour….

A veritable wealth of knowledge of plants, animals, birds, history, geography, geology, current events, etc. and all in the most incredible detail! He was always very professional, friendly, and reliable. All of his recommendations for meals, activities, times, etc. were right on the mark.

“We had such an amazing time! It was one of the best vacations we’ve ever had-with or without kids.

Kevin was just amazing. We feel like he’s family 🙂 the kids loved him, we loved him……he was just great.

As far as the highlights:

When we were in Cahuita we took a taxi over to Puerto Viejo and went to the Jaguar Rescue Center. It was phenomenal. Everyone got to hold baby monkeys and we were able to get very up and close with the sloths. Lots of animals and a great tour. Taxi was $30 each way with a
